Johnny Paycheck Nowhere to Run

Johnny Paycheck - Nowhere to Run: The Little Darlin' Years 1966-1970 I was introduced to Johnny Paycheck through his early years. Although Take this job and shove it is fun, this is his best material. His Little Darlin' stuff was dark and excellent. Johnny sang a bit like George Jones. He has a great voice and really gets to the meaning behind the words, which some country stars just gloss over. Sadly his song A-11 is not here. However, there's enough good stuff that can be overlooked. Don't Monkey With Another Monkey's Monkey is a really funny stupid song. Pardon me I've got someone to kill and If I'm Gonna Sink (I Might as Well Go to the Bottom) are my favorite songs here, disturbing and beautiful. Unfortunately, this is out of print but worth looking for.
